Hi All! Happy New Year!
Dug this out of the safe during some time off. She is a 1908 Swedish Mauser (M96). All matching with near perfect bore and proof marks to show for it. She has some nice marbling in walnut, though the stock was likely refinished. The rear sight is the Swedish micrometer dial insert, which makes a 100 m zero possible (original M96s had a 300 m zero). I guess this original sight is pretty rare.
Should I do anything to the stock to give it a more original condition? Or just leave it alone?

Swedish Mauser Review

Swedish Mauser Bore Disc meaning Looking at a Swedish Mauser stamped 1907. I can't read the brass disc in the stock, but the seller states that the bore disc is marked 6.51. Swedish Mauser Carbine M/94-14, Model 1894-14, Carl Gustafs 1929 There has been a lot of interest lately in the old Swedish Mauser Carbines, Model 1894-14's (M/94-14). The older blog posting of my own M/94-14 carbine that I restored, has been accessed numerous times each day, so I thought I'd revisit that carbine, and post a more complete album.
