Last week Cardi B had been teasing a new song between her and Bruno Mars titled 'Please Me' which she expressed her joy working with the singer from the day.
Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s “Please Me” has the sound of a classic 1990’s slow jam. This is made possible by the powerful vocals of Bruno Mars. And Cardi B makes a significant impact in her own right by airing some extremely raunchy, intimately-explicit lyrics.
In thissong, Bruno Mars basically plays the role of someone who is in deep need forphysical gratification, of which Cardi is the woman whom he has his eyes on tosatisfy him. They either meet in a club or dance floor – sometype of setting where B feels comfortable enough to be twerking. It is also thekind of place where she can challenge other females with the threat of losingtheir man if he appeals to Cardi.
And indeed she does have the looks and the moves. For instance, Bruno admits that begging for action isn’t his style. But he is so enamored with Cardi that he is willing to break his usual mode of operation. And according to Cardi’s lyrics, she possesses the sensual assets to actually pull off such a feat. This is basically all what the lyrics of “Please Me” are all about. Owing to this, we can therefore safely conclude that the song pays homage to sensual pleasure.

Cardi B Bruno Mars Please Me Single Flac Music
'Please Me' is a song by American rapper Cardi B and American singer Bruno Mars, released as a single on February 15, 2019.[1][2] Produced by Mars and The Stereotypes, 'Please Me' is a mid-tempo retro groove.[3] It is the artists' second collaboration after the remix of Mars' 'Finesse' released in January 2018. The single debuted at number five on the US Billboard Hot 100,[4] and later reached a peak of number three. The song's accompanying music video was released on March 1, 2019.[5]
Background and production[edit]
Cardi B reactivated her Instagram to announce the collaboration on February 14, having deactivated her profile for a couple of days after receiving criticism online in response to her winning Best Rap Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.[6][7] Both Cardi and Mars shared the cover art on their respective accounts.[8]
'Please Me' was written by Cardi B, Bruno Mars, James Fauntleroy, Jonathan Yip, Ray Romulus, Jeremy Reeves, and Ray McCullough II. The production and programming was handled by Mars and the latter four, known as The Stereotypes.[9]
Composition[edit]

'Please Me' is an R&B song described as a 'smooth slow jam with trap stylings'.[10]
Critical reception[edit]
Rhian Daly of NME praised the song by saying that Cardi B 'dominates' the track as most songs have 'the man calling the shots', but that with 'Please Me', Cardi 'snatches control while making sure she's getting what she wants too'. Daly also felt that 'Bruno's silky, begging vocals' show 'sensual R&B', as Cardi B's rapping is 'something far more x-rated'. Daly described the single as a 'mix of modern and classic'.[10] Writing for Pitchfork, Michelle Kim criticized the song, saying Mars 'attempts to make his own bump'n'grind anthem' but that 'his request feels painfully safe and vanilla, like if a bot was programmed to write sexts'. Kim summarized that the song has an 'awkward tempo' and is 'definitely not sexy enough to be played in the bedroom'.[11]
Music video[edit]
The music video premiered on March 1, 2019 on YouTube. It was directed by Florent Dechard and Mars, and was choreographed by Tanisha Scott, Phil Tayag and also Mars.[12][13] In the video, Cardi is wearing a Selena-inspired look, composed by a purple leather jacket with fringe and a bustier.[14]
Commercial performance[edit]
In the United States, 'Please Me' debuted at number five on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Cardi B's seventh top-ten song and Mars' 16th top ten on the chart. It started with 27.9 million streams and debuted at number-one on Digital Song Sales with 51,000 digital downloads sold, it became Cardi B's third number-one on the latter chart and Mars' ninth.[15] The song has so far peaked at number three.[16]
Live performances[edit]
'Please Me' was first performed live by Cardi B at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 1, 2019.[17]
