Final Fantasy Xv Engine Blade Upgrade

Upgrades in Final Fantasy XV are covered on this page. In the game players will be able to use Items they obtain from slain Enemies and exploration and use them to upgrade their Weapons. As you progress through the game you will come across Treasures like the Rusted Bit.

To upgrade your Engine Blade II to III, you'll need to find a glass gemstone. Glass Gemstones are less common than Rusted Bits, but can be found in various locations, including the building next to the street in Lestallum to the left of the Cup Noodle truck, or down the stairs and around the corner on the Eastern side of Old Lestallum, or on the North side of the lone cabin at Cape Caem.
Return to Cid, and it will take time to upgrade, requiring you to complete at least two quests or hunts.

After completing the first chapter you can speak with Cid and start 'Cid Sophiar, Master Mechanic' quest. This will allow you to upgrade some of the weapons in the game (upgradable ones have a '+' right next to their name). Aside from the weapon, you will also need to collect an item required for the upgrade process. Additionally, Cid will ask for some time to complete the work - completing one or two quests/hunts should be enough for him to be done.
